The MMS Technology program endeavors to teach students and staff about technology use daily. Each classroom has computers with Internet access and two full-time computer labs dedicated to technology integration. Students take classes about computer business keyboarding, computer applications, and technology education. Students and staff also integrate technology across the curriculum by using word processing, desktop publishing, webpage authoring, digital photography, presentation software, databases, and spreadsheets in their classes. Staff have technology staff development classes built into their planning periods in order to complete appropriate and timely technology training during school. This type of training allows us to seemlessly integrate technology across the board and avoid wasting precious instructional time trying to solve technological problems. We are also able to better plan as a team what needs to be done with technology and when it can be done.
